“A Call to Action: United Against the Devastation of the Turkey/Syria Earthquake”

The small, rural village of Nisbin, in south-eastern Turkiye, has been hit particularly hard by the earthquake. Many of the homes did not withstand the tremors, leaving many people homeless. Rescue teams are working around the clock to try and locate and rescue survivors who remain trapped under the rubble, while at least 600 people have been reported dead in both Turkiye and Syria due to the deadly earthquake.

Economic losses in both countries could be as high as $44 billion, making it one of the deadliest earthquakes in the region. International assistance is being channeled through various organizations, including United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), Red Crescent, and CARE International, to provide effective aid to Turkey, Syria and the rest of the impacted region.

People from around the world are coming together to raise funds for the affected countries, among them non-profit organizations such as @ahbap, @AKUTASSOCIATION, CARE Syria and Turkey. Our hearts and our thoughts are with the people affected and we are doing whatever we can to support the victims of this horrific tragedy.
