Story Weaver: Talk of the Town News

Real Stories. Real Conversations. Your Daily News Source.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were flying high heading into tonight’s crucial divisional battle with the Tennessee Titans. All that came crashing down, however, when Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer, seemingly out of nowhere, revealed in a post-game press conference that his team’s vaccine status was determining which players were making the team. This revelation drew criticism from fans and league officials alike. Embarrassed and humiliated, the Jaguars were forced to walk back their coach’s statement and issued a public apology.

This situation has left the young players trying out for the team in a state of uncertainty; unable to distinguish between on-field performance and outside limitations. The Jaguars organization sought to encourage courageous discourse to help resolve any issues or fallout from the incident. Despite their best efforts, there was still much shame and regret to go around. However, tonight the Jaguars will have a chance to make it all up to their fans and prove themselves on the field in a ‘win-or-go-home’ divisional battle with the Titans.
